What Differentiates Us
34 years of dedicated bankruptcy law practice built on one simple principle: Communication is Everything

We Actually Answer Our Phones
We answer our phones live 99% of the time. Everything starts with strong client communication. It’s been my motto for 34 years.
New clients who call me go, “Wow, you’re the first person to actually answer the phone,” or “I can’t get a hold of my attorney.”
From the first call to closing out their case, clients will leave feeling heard and tended to, and that starts and finishes with crisp communication.
Small but Mighty Team
I’ve always wanted to own a solo practice. I don’t like red tape. We maintain strong communication because there’s no middleman to deal with.
Jason Knapp – Senior Associate Attorney
Jason is a senior associate attorney at my office. Jason is the one that physically types your case, not a secretary or a paralegal. Jason and I do every single case together. You can call us Peanut Butter and Jelly, Batman and Robin. Call us whatever you want. You have two attorneys doing the work. Not secretaries or paralegals. Jason and I work seamlessly together in representation. We copy each other on every email we send out. Rest assured that if I email you, “Is the sky blue today?” Jason will see that email and vice versa.

Renee – Office Manager & Paralegal
She’s incredibly knowledgeable and handles much of the detailed work that makes our cases run smoothly. Renee has worked at my office for over 20 years.
34 Years of Experience
I’ve been doing this for 34 years. In that time, I’ve handled thousands of cases and done all kinds of bankruptcies, from legal aid cases all the way to complex chapter 13 cases.
Starting From Nothing
I’ve always wanted to run my own practice rather than work for a big firm. Nearly 35 years ago, I pulled out my credit card, set up my office and took a leap of faith.
Even from day one, my commitment to communication was absolute. I had one of those early cell phones and would forward my office calls to it so I’d never miss a client. I’d literally run out of the courtroom to take calls in the hallway.
I started very modestly and eventually worked up to one staff member – just me and one paralegal. I kept working hard from there and built the practice step by step.
What Drives Me
Helping people get a fresh start – that’s the greatest satisfaction in the world. When I take some of these complex Chapter 7 cases for a consumer, they came to me a lot of times with no hope. They have no idea what’s going to happen. And the way I do this, I actually put their mind at ease. And everybody feels better pretty much after they talk to me.
I can help 99% of the people that call one way or another. Very rarely can’t I help someone. I find it personally rewarding helping people wipe out their debt and get fresh starts in life.

Beyond the Law – Always Bet on the Triathlete
I’m an age-group triathlete, so I work out one to two hours a day. I’ve been racing since 1986 and have completed over 100 races.
“Always bet on the triathlete. We’re motivated and focused.”
I enjoy cooking, traveling and time spent with my grandkids.
